Zenni Optical - Incorrect prescription on glasses - terrible service - FINE print
I placed an order with Zenni for progressive bifocals with prism, only to find out "we don't offer prism in progressive bifocals." I entered my information WITH prism. Apparently when I added the progressive lenses, the ordering system removed the prism, although it never indicated prism was removed.
After a month of waiting for my order, the lenses were incorrect. When I looked at a book, my phone or my computer, the image was larger at the bottom than at the top. I called and spoke with customer service and told them the problem. I was informed they are very thorough and there was nothing wrong with the lenses.
I was told I was seeing the image larger at the bottom because there was no prism in the lens. I tried to explain to the representative who stated he was a "certified optical technician" that the prism does not work that way. He assured me I was incorrect. I requested that the glasses be remade using the entire prescription.
I was again told that Zenni does not put prism in progressive bifocals and there was no way I could have placed the order with prism. I asked for a refund, at which time I realized I should have read the fine print stating I would only be refunded half of what I paid for the glasses, even though the prescription was not correct.
I will never place another order with Zenni. In addition I have contacted all of the people I have referred to Zenni and warned them of the underhanded policies.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $39.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
